Caving vs Potholing... What's the difference?

So in simple terms, caving is generally horizontal and potholing is generally vertical! Both involve incredible underground adventures in one of our 3500 world class Yorkshire caves.

There is far too much to rattle on about with caving / potholing on a website and we'd run the risk of sounding boring, but be assured this is an epic activity! It's 'proper' adventure at it's best.

We've selected a few of our popular venues that offer the best 'bang for buck' to feature on the website, but there are 3500 to go at, so we can advise and select an appropriate venue specifically for you.

We offer a wide range of caving, from super family focused 'stress free' adventures (that are still incredible experiences) to hard core mega vertical trips with numerous underground abseils and challenges. If they're not enough, we also offer super extreme trips, where after the first abseil to get you underground you 'pull through' the ropes! The only way is down, with over a dozen further abseils to get you back in to a main stream way and traverse and crawl back to reality!
